In February 2023, Habitat Andina, the controlling shareholder of AFP Habitat S.A. (Peru), Colfondos Pensiones y Cesantías S.A. (Colombia) and PHI Administradora General de Fondos S.A. (Chile) acquired 100% of the shares representing the capital stock of EFIC Gestión de Activos from Capital SAF.

The acquisition is part of Habitat’s growth strategy in asset and fund management in Peru, and confirms its commitment to continue growing in the country.

After the acquisition, EFIC Capital Asset Management SAF will be renamed “PHI Sociedad Administradora de Fondos S.A.C.” As it belongs to one of the corporate arms of Grupo Habitat, the new SAF has the support of the financial groups Prudential Financial (USA) and Inversiones la Construcción (Chile).
